| Race Summary |
|---|
BRASS HAT was allowed to settle into stride toward the outside, advanced from
between horses through the second turn, came five wide and wore down SPICE ROUTE
(GB) in the final yards. SPICE ROUTE (GB) settled in hand, launched his bid
three deep, forged a late lead with a sixteenth to run, kept on well but was
turned away late. THABAZIMBI opened clear to set the pace, repelled the bid of
TRANSDUCTION GOLD entering the stretch, but weakened in the final furlong and
grudgingly gave in. MY HAPPINESS (ARG) was unhurried into stride tucked in along
the hedge, took closer order through the far turn, shifted out with a furlong to
run and improved his position. SILVER MOUNTAIN was forwardly placed along the
inside to the stretch and faded. GANGBUSTER dropped back to trail early, came
three wide and passed his tiring rivals. ALWAYS FIRST (GB) failed to respond.
TRANSDUCTION GOLD chased the pace two wide, offered a mild bid nearing the
quarter pole but failed to sustain the drive. WHY TONTO was through early, eased
to the wire but walked off.
